Ball of the Bases

So, to my friends out there who have followed baseball longer and closer than I (thankfully?) have put the time into yet....

What does it mean for us (Go Dah-yers!) that we're up against the Phillies in the NLCS? What can we expect to see, and what needs to happen?

It means we're up against an offense superior to the Dodgers and also the one bullpen that was better than the Dodgers throughout the season, and that's including with Saito and Kuo, which we won't have at least one of during this series. The Dodgers starting pitching is better overall, but the Phillies ace is better than any one pitcher the Dodgers have.

Basically what needs to happen is LA's pitching needs to keep the ball in the park (the Phillies led the national league in homeruns) and the offense needs to do exactly what they did to the Cubs, which is getting deep into counts and making their pitchers throw a shitton of pitches. It also wouldn't hurt for Manny to drive in about 36 runs.

Nobody's better than Sammy :)

It means they actually have a chance to go the World Series this year. They've beaten the Phillies enough times this season and in the past.

Also, HI!
